After Strong Earnings, NetSuite Takes A Shot At SAP (And SAP Fires Back)

Enterprise software company NetSuite took some shots at SAP as it reported a strong quarter on Thurs. with third quarter revenue of $106.9 million and non-GAAP earnings per share of $.09, a cent up from Wall Street’s expectation of $.08 per share.

The company, which offers cloud-based infrastructure as an alternative to larger, older players like Oracle ORCL +0.27% and SAP, earned non-GAAP net income of $6.9 million, a 20% increase year-to-year. Revenue was up 31% compared to Q3 of 2012. On a GAAP basis, the company lost money, $16.8 million, about twice as much as the year before.
