The Wall Street Journal believes that Lenovo has shown interest in acquiring some or all of struggling Canadian wireless company Blackberry. Bids for Blackberry are expected to arrive before November 4 sources tell the Journal, with Lenovo having signed a non-disclosure agreement to get a closer look at Blackberry's books. Reuters notes a Lenovo deal is far from certain, with Blackberry also conducting talks with Cisco, Google and Germany's SAP AG about selling part or all of itself. Given Blackberry's significant corporate and enterprise client base, any deal (especially one by a Chinese vendor) would face significant regulatory review.
