SAP to Enhance Cloud-Based Sales Support Application

German software giant SAP AG is planning to roll out a cloud-based sales force automation system that will leverage social media and real-time technology to help companies better connect with their customers.

The new system will help businesses predict what its consumers are likely to want, SAP chief executive Bill McDermott told CIO Journal. “We see a whole new world for customer engagement commerce,” he said. “This is where the world is going. We will commoditize SFA, knock the price point and redefine the category entirely. And it will all be done in the cloud.”
