Here are the highlights of the new release:

SPS 07 for SAP HANA is focused on three major themes: open platform innovation to support a broad range of applications developed by SAP and its partner ecosystem, developer empowerment with many new capabilities driving developer efficiency, and thirdly extended support for mission critical enterprise applications.

SAP HANA smart data access technology has been extended to include sources such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server. Smart data access now provides tighter Hadoop integration, also supporting the Hortonworks distribution.

Additionally, the SAP HANA certification program helps partners to ensure enterprise grade integration with SAP HANA.

As a developer of SAP HANA applications you will be able to take advantage of the core data services (CDS) and pre-packaged data quality libraries to foster reuse and rapid development. New capabilities to control multiple versions of your code provide enhanced support for large development teams working on many projects.

SAP HANA SPS 07 has new features supporting high availability/disaster recovery (HA/DR) deployment, such as replaying logs on snapshots as well as cascading system replication for up to three locations. New unified install/patching tools and enhanced monitoring of operations continue to simplify the administrative experience.
